    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the high-temp. strength of a precipitation reinforcing type aluminum alloy capable of predicting the change in the strength of this aluminum alloy under a high-temp. environment of fluctuating temps. and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: This apparatus predicts the high-temp. strength of the precipitation reinforcing type aluminum alloy used under the high-temp. environment of the continuously changing temps. The apparatus has a first memory section 5a which stores the function of the strength and temp. with respect to the base phase of the aluminum alloy material, a second memory section 5 which stores the calculation equation for the change rate of the strength based on the growth of the precipitation phase in the aluminum alloy material, an accumulation section 4a which successively accumulates the time elapsed from the start of use of the aluminum alloy material to be predicted and the member temp. at the point of this time and a strength prediction section 5e which predicts the future temp. in accordance with the time elapsed and member temp. accumulated in this accumulation section 4a and determines the high-temp. strength of the aluminum alloy material at the predicted temp. by the sum of the strength of the base phase and the strength change rate of the precipitation phase.
