摘要： PURPOSE:To measure outer diameter dimensions during the pipe expansion working, by arranging a base plate which is partly made up of elastic material and anchored at a specified position of a cylinder with a cord encircling the circumference thereof, a drum to wind the other end of the cord with one end thereof fixed on the plate, an electrically measuring means of a pull of the cord and a winding type displacement meter on the plate. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular base plate 13 is mounted securely on the circumference of a cylinder material 3 at a specified position with a cord 16 having a coil spring 16a on a metal ware 17. A body 21 of a displacement meter 7 is fixed on the plate 13, a shaft 19 of a winding drum 15 is supported on the body with a coil spring 20 and one end of a measuring cord 14 is fixed on a metal ware 18 to wind the other end thereof on the drum 15. The length of a pull from the drum 15 associated with pipe expansion working is electrically detected with the movement of a contact on a resistance wire 23 attuned to an angle of rotation. With such an arrangement, the core gets in contact with the circumference of the cylinder material without being slackened to measure dimensions at the same position, thereby achieving a higher accuracy.

CONSTITUTION:When the tapered part of the conical valve body 3 of an exhaust valve 1 made of an Ni alloy is locally hardened in the vicinity of the periphery of the body 3, a circular projection 4 is previously formed at the part to be hardened. The body 3 is placed on a die 5 so that the valve rod 2 makes 30 deg. angle to a vertical line. While the body 3 is rotated in the direction of an arrow X, the projection 4 is compressed at a temp. below the recrystallization temp. by moving a press 7 back and forth in the directions of arrows Y. Aging and finish working are then carried out. Thus, an exhaust valve 1 having a locally hardened tapered part is manufactured.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable and facilitate forging of a tube plate by making a blank into thick disk form and making a hollow and a projection with a press and then forming a peripheral part on the outside of the projection. CONSTITUTION:A blank 1 formed to a thick disk from an ingot by compression forming is used as a starting blank. Then, it is pressed from above to reduce the thickness of the disk 8 and, at the same time, pushing it out in the radial direction to form the peripheral part 9 in the outer periphery of the projection 5. In this way, a completed forged material 1'' is obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make crystal grains fine and to improve ductility and toughness by reheating at the specific temp. after completing forging to a Cr steel containing Nb and successively, executing quenching and tempering after executing isothermal transformation treatment. In this result, the steel forging having excellent creep rupture strength and low cycle fatigue characteristic is obtd.
