摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dispersion quality of engineering plastics containing titanium oxide until the pressure loss increase rate of sail plastics is almost nil, even if a pretreatment step using a dispersant is not performed, when kneading said engineering plastics. SOLUTION: This twin screw kneading extruder consists of a screw feed part 12 which feeds materials to be kneaded forward on the outer peripheral faces of two rotors 3 introduced, side by side, into a chamber in a freely rotating manner and rotor segments 15A, 15B with a feed blade and a returning blade for kneading and melting the materials to be kneaded, arranged alternately in a material carrying direction. In this case, the rotor segments 15A, 15B are arranged at two spots remote from each other in the shaft direction of the rotors 3. At the same time, a resistance part having a resistance function to the flow of the materials is provided in each of the downstream sides immediately after the rotor segments 15A, 15B. In addition, the sum L/D of the shaft lengths L1 /D and L2 /D of the rotor segments 15A, 15B at the two spots is set at 7.2 or more. Besides, the chip clearance δ/D between the rotor segments 15A, 15B is set at 0.04 or less.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the effect of thickening in the case when material resin is thickened without being dried beforehand. SOLUTION: An apparatus for continuously kneading polyester resin has a chamber 4 having a material supply opening 2, vent ports 7 and a material discharge opening 3 in this sequence from the upstream side, a kneading rotor 5 inserted rotatably through the chamber 4, vacuum pumps 8 and 9 connected to the vent ports 7 so as to dewater the inside of the chamber 4 under reduced pressure, a material supply means 6 connected to the material supply opening 3, and a chemical agent supply means 10 connected to the chamber 4 so as to supply a chemical agent having an action of thickening material resin, as an addition, into the chamber 4. In this apparatus, the part on the upstream side of the chemical agent supply means 10 in the chamber 4 is made a drying section 14 wherein the material resin before the chemical agent is added thereto is kneaded, being dewatered under reduced pressure, and the part on the downstream side of the means 10 is made a thickening section 15 wherein the material resin after the chemical agent is added is kneaded, being deaerated under reduced pressure.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a nonhalogen-based treating liq. for removing a coating material which can chemically separate and remove a coating film of an aluminum can and in particular does not use a halogen-based solvent. SOLUTION: This treating liq. for removing a coating material on an aluminum can comprise, based on the total amt. of treating liq. for removing a coating material, 5 to 40wt.% alkyl arylsulfonic acid and 5 to 30wt.% water and the balance consisting of a glycol ether solvent. Addition of 1 to 50wt.% nonhalogen-based org. solvent, other than the glycol ether, or benzophenone to the above treating liq. can improve the penetration of the glycol ether solvent into the coating film. Use of benzophenone can reduce emission of odor. Further, addition of the nonionic surfactant in an amt. up to 10wt.% can further improve the penetration of the glycol ether solvent and sulfonic acid into the coating film.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a poly (lactic acid) composition useful for producing a molded article which is excellent in yield strength and elongation at break, by compounding a hydrocarbon dicarboxylate having eight or more carbon atoms with a poly (lactic acid). SOLUTION: This poly (lactic acid) composition comprises a poly (lactic acid) and a hydrocarbon-dicarboxylic acid diester having eight or more carbon atoms. A composition containing 2 to 15 pts.wt. of a hydrocarbon-dicarboxylic acid diester relative to 100 pts.wt. of poly (lactic acid) is preferred because of greater toughness. In this poly (lactic acid) composition, a preferred diester is an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid diester (a more preferred diester is an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester). The composition comprising this diester is useful for providing a molding material having excellent biodegradability. Further, in this poly (lactic acid) composition, a composition having a significantly improved toughness can be provided by properly controlling the number of carbon atoms contained in the hydrocarbon-dicarboxylic acid diester.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting structural adhesive compsn. excellent in shearing strength and peeling strength and also in heat resistance and durability by compounding an epoxy resin (A), a urethane-modified epoxy resin (B), a polycarbonate resin (C), and a curative (D). SOLUTION: Ingredient A is pref. a bisphenol epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 160-600. Ingredient B is produced by reacting a polyol with an excess amt. of an isocyanate and reacting the resultant isocyanato-terminated urethane polymer with a monohydroxylated epoxy resin. Ingredient C is a compd. having repeating units represented by formula I, e.g. a polyester-modified polycarbonate resin. An example of ingredient D is dicyandiamide. The amts. of ingredients A, B, C, and D compounded are 50-90 pts.wt., 10-50 pts.wt., 2-25 pts.wt., and 3-25 pts.wt., respectively, provided the sum of ingredients A and B is 100 pts.wt.
