摘要： PURPOSE:To minimize the amt. of costly cladding materials to be used and to obtain a corrosion resistant clad steel pipe having high quality inexpensively, by forming only the cladding metals on both marginal sides that form the seam of a clad steel plate (or steel strip) to a thick wall. CONSTITUTION:A clad steel plate is produced by cladding a steel base material 2 and a cladding metal 3 consisting of a corrosion resistant raw material. The thickness over the entire part thereof is made roughly uniform, and the cladding material 3 in the central part is formed at the min. wall thickness t1 required for forming a corrosion resistant covering. The wall thickness t2 on both marginal sides 3a, 3b to be welded of the cladding metal is increased so as to provide the sound covering of the cladding metal after welding. The wall thickness on both marginal sides of the material 2 is correspondingly decreased. The widths Wa, Wb in the thick wall parts on the sides 3a, 3b are made larger than at least the widths allowing for the margins for edge preparation and the width of penetration in welding stage.

摘要： PURPOSE:To produce a superior clad slab efficiently by blooming a composite metallic ingot which is botd. by disposing a core material near one inside surface of a mold and casting dissimilar metal in the mold to insert the core material in said metal then exposing the core material. CONSTITUTION:A core material 1 is disposed near one side wall in a mold 4 slightly spacially from the side wall. Molten steel 3 which is a base material different from the material 1 is cast through a runner 6 into the mold 4 to insert the material 1, whereby a clad steel ingot of two layers having the skin of the base material steel is produced. Such clad steel ingot is bloomed to a prescribed thickness and the skin of the base material of the rolled clad steel ingot is scarfed thinly by hot scarfing or the like, whereby the surface of the material 1 is exposed. The clad slab having excellent interlayer adhesive strength between the steel 3 and the core material 1 of the special steel and good surface conditions is produced stably.
