    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knife holder for an underwater cutting granulating apparatus where gaps formed between a sliding surface of a knife and a hardening projected portion can be reduced by reducing slack occurring in the knife in comparison with a cantilever support, thereby being capable of obtaining a resin pellet having a satisfactory shape.SOLUTION: The knife holder includes: a knife holder body 11 that is disk-shaped and where an outer circumference end 11a is located inside the inner circumference end 52b of the projected portion 52 of a die plate 40 a knife 30; and rib portions 12 that are provided at equally gapped positions in a circumferential direction of an outer circumference end 11a of the knife holder body 11, that are projected radially outwardly from the outer circumference end 11a to extend outwardly past the inner circumference end 52b of the projected portion 52, and fixes the knife 30 whose top face is located in a front face approaching the die plate 40.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump preventing the one-side hitting of a rotor shaft on a sliding bearing when it is adopted, and preventing the occurrence of the problems of rotating resistance and irregularity of the rotor shaft and uneven wear of the rotor shaft and the bearing. SOLUTION: The gear pump 1 includes a pair of mutually engaging gear rotors 2, 2 provided in a housing 3 in a state where the rotor shaft 5 of each gear rotor 2 is rotatably supported by the bearings 6. The gear rotors 2 are rotated to carry carried fluid from the suction side to the discharge side. The bearing 6 includes an annular inner ring member 23 externally inserted into the rotor shaft 5, and an annular outer ring member 24 provided in the housing 3 with the inner ring member 23 fitted inside thereof. The inner ring member 23 has an inner peripheral face rotatably supporting the rotor shaft 5 while being lubricated by part of the carried fluid. The outer ring member 24 has an inner peripheral face slidably supporting the inner ring member 23 so that the inner ring member 23 following the eccentricity of the rotor shaft 5 is slidable.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granulating apparatus for thermoplastic resin preventing an adverse effect on cutting of molten thermoplastic resin due to the change of accuracy between a die surface and a cutter shaft axis during operation under the influence of weather even if installed in a building with no sidewall.
      SOLUTION: The granulating apparatus for thermoplastic resin is constituted by fittingly inserting a cutter shaft 5 into a substantially cylindrical drive housing 4 through bearings 5a, 5b, mounting a cutter blade 3 to the tip of the fittingly inserted cutter shaft 5, and providing a cutter blade pressing means for pressing the cutter blade 3 to a die 1 through the cutter shaft 5, while connecting a driving motor to the rear end of the cutter shaft 5. The rotary motion of the driving motor is transmitted to the cutter blade 3 through the cutter shaft 5 to cut and pelletize the molten thermoplastic resin pushed out of a nozzle 1a of the die 1. A windbreak hood 8 is mounted surrounding the outer periphery of the drive housing 4.

The cutting edge is moved to the direction of the die at the constant speed during the work of cutting the molten resin by the cutting edge in the underwater-cut pelletization apparatus.

Therefore, costs can be reduced by being only a casting and straight hole processing.
