    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the abnormal abrasion of a probe sliding part at the time of the insertion and extraction of a probe by avoiding the generation of the difference in level at the pipe end facing part of a pipe to be inspected and an adjusting pipe, by supporting the pipe end part of the pipe to be inspected and that of the adjusting pipe facing thereto in the stage mounted on a position prescribing roller. CONSTITUTION:An adjusting pipe 24 arranged in coaxial relation to a pipe 25 to be inspected is used as a guide to insert and remove a probe into and from the pipe 25 to be inspected. At this time, a turning roller shaft 31 is supported at both ends thereof to be suppressed in its strain and a turning roller 26 is fixed to said shaft 31 at the required position thereof and the facing pipe end part of the adjusting pipe 24 and the pipe 25 to be inspected is supported by said roller 26 without generating difference in level. At the time of measurement, the turning roller 26 rotates at the speed equal to the speed of other turning rollers 30, 41, 42 and, by this mechanism, the deflection of the adjusting pipe 24 and the pipe 25 to be inspected at the facing pipe end part thereof in the pipe radius directions is suppressed and the probe can be smoothly inserted and removed.

    • PURPOSE:To measure liner thickness accurately over the entire tube surface to the overall length by allowing an ultrasonic probe to track a duplex tube through a tracking mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A liner tube stock 2 is run in water 3 and the probe 5 supported by the two-axial tracking mechanism is set by turning and adjusting an up/down shaft 23 so that the axis of the probe is at right angles to the axis of the tube stock 2. Then, the tube stock 2 is conveyed axially by a feed device 4 while rotated; and an ultrasonic wave is transmitted by the probe 5 and its reflection echo is received. The thickness of th liner 2a is measured from a boundary echo and an echo from the bottom surface of the liner 2a. If the sub stock 2 is curved, a holding base 26 and a support body 24 move integrally in the direction of a lateral shaft 27 through a tracking roller 31 which rolls in contact with the tube, and moves up and down in the direction of a longitudinal shaft 34. Therefore, the probe 5 tracks the curvature, etc., in constant relation with the tube stock 2 and receives the echo from the boundary part under stable conditions. Further, attenuation is performed by an attenuating DAC circuit on the rear side of the bottom surface echo to eliminate the influence of following echoes.

    • PURPOSE:To increase an SN ratio by using an ultrasonic flaw detector and an ultrasonic probe which have 5-15MHz wide-band frequency characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A coated tube 2 while rotated on its axis is sent axially, and a lateral wave ultrasonic beam is transmitted by the ultrasonic probe 4 and its reflection echo is received. In this case, the ultrasonic flaw detector 5 uses a detector which has 5-15MHz wide band frequency characteristics. Therefore, a high frequency component is attenuated in a member and a low frequency component remains, so a defect echo is obtained highly and the SN ratio is improved. Further, the probe 4 uses a probe having 5-15MHz wide band frequency characteristics as well as the flaw detector 5. When frequency characteristics has a wide band, the pulse width is narrow, so a grove-shaped echo received by the probe 4 within a time interval is reduced and the probe 4 can be arranged so that the grove-shaped echo is not received as much as possible. Thus, the SN ratio is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To inspect whether there is holes in pipes, two by two, to improve inspection efficiency by providing a detector, and opening and closing a solenoid valve and filling each piping system and a pipe to be tested or each piping system, conduit and a reference pipe with pressurized air for measurement. CONSTITUTION:Opening and shutting valves 12 and 22 are opened to fit pipe chucks 13a and 23a to one-side terminals of pipes P1 and P2 to be tested, and the other-side terminals are sealed by pipe chucks 13b and 23b and connected to the pipe 10 of a system A and the pipe 20 of a system B, respectively. The opening and shutting valve 31 is closed. Then, a measurement start switch is turned on to generate a valve opening signal I0 by a controller 58 and close feed/discharge solenoid valves 4, 11, 21, and 41. Then, the feed/discharge solenoid valves are closed a time T0 later to fill a main piping 2, A-system pipe 10, B- system pipe 20, C-system pipe 40, and pipes P1 and P2 to be tested with pressurized air with specific pressure, and the output of a transducer 50 is inputted to a relay 55 further a time TS later. If abnormality occurs to the pipes P1 and P2 to be tested, a defective display lamp 57b turns on.
