    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic plate resistor which uses a copper-nickel alloy as a resistance alloy, reduces heat generated in a current inflow side electrode by the Peltier effect upon current application, reduces a detection/measurement error caused by a thermoelectromotive force, and also increase a reliability.
      SOLUTION: A metallic plate resistor 10 comprises: a resistance body 11 made of a copper-nickel alloy; and copper electrodes 12, 13 joined to both ends of the resistance body 11. The influence by a thermoelectromotive force on a joint surface between the copper-nickel alloy and copper is suppressed by making the inflow side electrode 12 of a current as a resistor detection target substantially larger than the outflow side electrode 13. The current inflow side electrode 12 is made in volume ratio substantially 200 times or more than the outflow side electrode 13.
