摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody the appearance like that of a square shaped hinoki (Japanese cypress) bathtub and to assure a luxurious feel by using FRP panels having woodgrain tone surface layers for a base surface and flanks, assembling the bathtub with the surface layers as inside surfaces, providing the surfaces of decorative layers with matte surface gel coat resin layers and assembling a wood frame to the top edge surfaces of the bathtub. SOLUTION: The woodgrain tone bathtub is assembled by first fastening the base surface panel and flank panels by means of adhesives or bolts and nuts with their respective turnup parts as joint parts or fastening the base surface panel and flank panels not having the turnup parts to each other via L channels. The FRP panels forming the base surface, flanks and aprons of the bathtub are formed by laminating the FRP plates having the matte gel coat resin layers and woodgrain decorative layers successively from above. The matte gel coat surface resin layers are formed as the cured matter layers of matrix resins, such as unsaturated polyester resins, vinyl ester resins and their blended resins, etc. Further, the wood frame to be assembled to the top edge surface of the bathtub is formed of natural timber, such as hinoki, sawara cypress, etc.
