In the case of singly adding REM and/or REM-containing alloy, the REM concentration in the cast product is made to 0.001-0.01%, and in the case of singly adding Zr and/or Zr-containing alloy, the Zr concentration in the cast product is made to 0.001-0.01%, and in the case of compositely adding REM and/or REM-containing alloy and Zr and/or Zr-containing alloy, the total of the REM concentration and the Zr concentration in the cast product is made to 0.001-0.01%.

摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently accelerate the floating of inclusions in steel by applying DC current into molten steel existing in a recessed part provided in a tundish and impressing static magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:An expending part 2 for providing the recessed part for taking in a part of the molten steel M is provided at the bottom part 1a of the tundish 1, and the static magnetic field generator 3 is fitted around this expanding part to generate the static magnetic field in the direction parallel to the flowing direction of the molten steel M. The DC current is applied to the molten steel M by an electric power conducting device 4 in the direction orthogonal to the static magnetic field. The fluid or the stirring of the molten steel M is accelerated with an electromagnetic force generated by applying the DC current and impressing the static magnetic field. By this method, in the molten steel in the tundish 1, the rising flow is generated by the electromagnetic action based on the Fleming's left-hand rule, and short circuit flow is not formed and therefore, the floating of the inclusions in the steel in the tundish 1 can be accelerated.
