    • PURPOSE:To lessen residual stress of both an inner tube and an outer tube by interposing joining material such as solder material or the like between the inner tube and the outer tube at the time of relatively superimposing the inner tube and the outer tube to increase the diameter of the inner tube or reduce the diameter of the outer tube so that the inner tube and the outer tube are united in a body. CONSTITUTION:Solder material 2, 2 as paste joining material is applied to the inside face of an outer tube 1 in designated lines along the longitudinal direction, and in such a condition, a stainless inner tube 3 is relatively superimposed on the outer tube 1 through a ring-shaped space 4 as narrow as possible. Secondly, by a thermal tube expanding method, designated liquid pressure F is applied to the interior of the inner tube 3 to increase the diameter of the inner tube 3, so that the inner tube is united in a body with the outer tube 1. Subsequently, with the solder material 2' spread throughout, heaters 5 are installed like a ring to heat and melt the solder material 2', so that the solder material is spread between the inner tube 3 and the outer tube 1 throughout.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To devise the structure of a heat resistant metal cylinder made furnace core tube upon a furnace core tube of an external heating rotary kiln being made into a single heat resistant metal cylinder such that wear resistance and heat resistance of an internal surface of the furnace core tube, and chemical and physical stability are improved. SOLUTION: For a furnace core tube of an external heating rotary kiln it is made of a heat resistant metal cylinder, and ceramics powder is sprayed onto the internal surface of the heat resistant metal cylinder to form a 100 μm to 1000 μm thick ceramics spray coated film. Since the internal surface of the heat resistant metal cylinder is coated with the ceramics spray coated film, a workpiece is prevented from making direct contact with the surface of the heat resistant metal cylinder. Further, since the ceramics spray coated film layer on the internal surface of the heat resistant metal cylinder is excellent in wear resistance, heat resistance, and chemical and physical stabilities at high temperature, contamination is produced from the surfaces of the spray coated film and the heat resistant metal cylinder, which is in turn prevented from being mixed into the workpiece. Further, since the thickness of the ceramics spray coated film is less than 1000 μm, heat transfer property of the furnace core tube due to the heat resistant metal cylinder is not obscured, heat efficiency is high with excellent temperature control property and hence quality control of the workpiece is facilitated.
