摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for compacting a soft ground wherein a work load can be reduced by propagating supersonic vibrations to the soft ground from the surface of the ground. SOLUTION: In the compacting device 1, five vibrators 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 are connected to a supersonic wave generator 10. A container 16 has a cylindrical bottom portion with a diameter of about 1 m, in which all the vibrators 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 are held, a vibration surface of each of the vibrators being oriented downward. Further, in the container 16, suspension wires are provided at regular intervals along the circumferential direction thereof so that the container is suspended by a back hoe. The bottom surface of the container 16 is put on the surface of a soft ground and a water level surface to generate supersonic vibrations.

By preparing the first segment pieces 10,20 and several sorts of the second segment pieces, a segment structure of various shapes and sizes can be easily constructed.
