摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a working space of optional shape and size by using a first segment piece of which the extended planes of both end faces are at right angles to each other, and a second segment piece of which both end faces are in parallel with each other. SOLUTION: In first segment pieces corresponding to a curve part, a segment piece 10 constituting a projecting curved surface is provided with a plurality of vertical ribs 13 in a frame constituted of a pair of main girders 11 and joinr plates 12 continuously connected to both the ends, and a skin plate 142 is connected to the main girders 11, the joint plates 12, and the vertical ribs 13 while contacting with the outer curves of the main girders 11. A segment piece 20 is formed into the same shape as the segment piece 10, constituted the skin plate 14 while contacting with the inner curves of main girders 21, and used for a recessed curve part. All three sorts of second segment pieces 20 correspond to a straight part, all the main girders 11 are rectangles, and between the joint plates of the same shape, three, two, one vertical ribs are connected. By preparing the first segment pieces 10,20 and several sorts of the second segment pieces, a segment structure of various shapes and sizes can be easily constructed.

The rod of each elevating jack 4 is lowered on the upper surface, the press-down beam 7 is lowered to press the segment downward in a desiganted depth, and after the press-down beam 7 is raised, the segment units are put in the connecting state similarly like a circular ring on the upper surface of the segment. The press- down beam 7 is again lowered on the upper surface, and the above operation is repeated to sequentially settle the segment.
