    • PURPOSE:To obtain a capsule extremely narrow in particle size distribution, by a method wherein a hydrophobic liquid containing polyvalent isocyanate is emulsified and dispersed in a hydrophilic solution of an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid type copolymer and a coating film is formed to each formed liquid particle to coat the same. CONSTITUTION:Unsaturated monocarboxylic acid type monomers such as acrylic acid, metharylic acid or the like are subjected to copolymerization in a combined form to prepare 20-98mol% copolymer which is in turn contained in a hydrophilic medium used in producing a capsule to prepare a hydrophilic solution. On the other hand, polyvalent isocyanate such as m-phenylene dissocyanate is added to a hydrophobic liquid such as cotton seed oil or hydrogenated terphenyl in a ratio of 0.02-60:1. In the next step, the aforementioned hydrophobic liquid is emulsified and dispersed in the unsaturated monocarboxylic copolymer-containing hydrophilic solution and polyvalent isocyanate is polymerized at the interface of a liquid droplet to form a synthetic high molecular film which is in turn applied to the surface of the hydrophobic liquid.

    • PURPOSE:To attain to enhance initial color developability and light resistance, in color developing paper for pressure sensitive copy paper using an org. color developing agent, by using two kinds of latexes different in gel content in a specific ratio as an adhesive component. CONSTITUTION:As the adhesive component of color developing paper containing an org. developing agent such as aromatic carboxylic acid, a phenol resin or multivalent metal salts thereof, at least one latex of which the gel content is 90-100wt% and at least one latex of which the gel content is 10-85wt% are used together so as to adjust a solid wt. ratio to 90:10-50:50. As the monomers for constituting the latexes, for example, 30-70wt% of monoolefins, 20-55wt% diolefins and 0.5-10wt% of vinyl unsaturated carboxylic acids are designated and the gel content is regulated by a monomer composition or the kinds of additives during production.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a color developing sheet excellent in color developing property and printability, by a method wherein a color developer coating liquid with a solid content of 30-80wt% is supplied in excess onto a base sheet, and an excess portion of the liquid is scraped off in a short period of time. CONSTITUTION:A color developer coating liquid comprising an electron-acceptive color developer and/or a chelating color development type color developer such as an inorganic acidic substance, a phenolic substance, an aromatic carboxylic acid or a multivalent metal salt thereof as a main constituent and further comprising a water-soluble or latex base binder, a while-colored pigment or the like and having a solid content of 30-80wt%, preferably 35-70wt% is supplied in excess onto the base sheet by, e.g., a blade coater. Thereafter, an excess portion of the liquid is scraped off by a blade in a period of time of 0.0005-0.015sec so that the coated quantity of the material becomes 3-15g/m on a dry weight basis.
