By this method, the electrodeposition coated film of superior external appearance can be formed without causing significant deterioration in the impact strength of the plastic article.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition capable of giving excellent corrosionproof electrodeposition coating films without using rust-proofing pigments such as Pb compounds or Cr compounds problematic in terms of pollution control policy, containing Bi compound(s) such as bismuth silicate and organotin compound(s) such as an organotin oxide. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy resin is dissolved in butyl cellosolve followed by dripping e.g. diethylamine at 80-100 deg.C and then holding the system at 120 deg.C for 2hr to form an epoxy resin-amine adduct. This adduct is then incorporated with a ketimine-terminated amide resin prepared by dissolving a dimer acid-type polyamide resin in methyl isobutyl ketone followed by reaction under heating to 130-150 deg.C, and the mixture is heated to 100 deg.C into an epoxy resin-amino- polyamide-added resin varnish. Thence, this varnish is formulated with (A) at least one kind of bismuth compound among bismuth silicate, triphenylbismuth, bismuth gallate, etc., and (B) at least one kind of organotin compound among organotin oxides and aliphatic dicarboxylic acid alkyltin ester compounds etc., thus affording the objective composition capable of giving excellent corrosionproof electrodeposition coating films.
