    • PURPOSE:To grasp the bending state of an excavated hole with real time by fitting an inclinometer to the leading end of an auger shaft of an auger boring and measuring the bend of the excavated hole every optional depth. CONSTITUTION:An auger 1 and an auger shaft 2 are formed on a boring machine and an inclinometer 3 is fitted to the leading end of the auger 1. The inclinometer 3 is constituted of a differential transformer, a distortion gauge, an electrostatic capacity system, an accelerator system, etc. Excavation is interrupted at a previously fixed depth during the excavation, its bearing is selected by a bearing meter 5, the inclinometer 3 is matched with the selected bearing to measure the inclination, and the inclination data are sent to an indication recorder 6. For instance, the detecting direction of the inclinometer is made to coincide with the east and weat direction to obtain data and measure inclination every optional depth. Since the inclined degree of the leading end of the auger is measured with real time and can be fed back rapidly to the execution, excavation can be performed highly accurately.
