    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fillet welding method for welding a steel floor plate of a bridge and a rib material to be used to reinforce the floor plate, by which method a nearly T shape fillet welded joint having excellent fatigue strength can be obtained using the gas shield arc welding method suitable for the fillet welded joint. SOLUTION: A nearly T shape fillet welded joint having a V shape bevel (a wedge shape gap) at the abutted portion of a flat plate 2 and a vertical plate 1 is welded under the following conditions so as to from an underside bead. (1) Welding method: straight polarity gas metal arc welding. (2) Shield gas: mixed gas composed of 60% or more of CO 2 , and the remainder composed of two or more gases of Ar, He, H 2 , and O 2 , or 100% of CO 2 gas. (3) Welding wire: solid wire.
