摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a menthol cigarette with a chacoal filter capable of sufficiently releasing menthol flavor in smoking even after storing the cigarette by more suppressing volatilization/transition of the menthol in non-smoking, which can be easily produced.SOLUTION: A menthol cigarette with charcoal filter includes a tobacco part including a tobacco rod consisting of a tobacco filling material containing flakes of rolled sheet tobacco or extruded sheet tobacco in a proportion of 8 wt.% or more and, a cigarette wrapping paper wrapping the outer circumference of the tobacco rod, and a filter part having a charcoal filter fitted to one end of the tobacco part, wherein a menthol-enclosing cyclodextrin is mixed into the flakes of rolled sheet tobacco or extruded sheet tobacco.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a tobacco filter which can reduce environmental pollution because of its excellent resistance to the disintegration under damp or wet conditions such as rain water by winding up the tow of cellulose ester fiber at a high speed. SOLUTION: A granular thermoplastic water-soluble polymer of hot-melt adhesion is added to the tow of cellulose ester fiber, then the tow is rolled with paper into a rod. On or after this forming step, the filter rod is heat-treated under high-humidity atmosphere to stick the cellulose fibers each other with the water-soluble polymer and the filter rod is cooled down whereby the objective tobacco filter is produced. In this heat-treatment step, when the granular thermoplastic water-soluble polymer is heated in an atmosphere of about 50-100% relative humidity, the cellulose ester fibers can be bonded even at a temperature lower than the melting point of the water-soluble polymer (50-200 deg.C).

摘要： PURPOSE: To suppress the production of acidic odor components such as acetic acid odor in a filter material containing cellulose fiber and activated charcoal. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a filter material for cigarettes consists of an adding process where an adsorbent such as active charcoal and a powdery or granular thermoplastic resin having hot melt adhesiveness to an opened tow of cellulose ester fiber, a forming process where the tow containing the resin in wound to form a rod, a heat treating process where the rod is heat treated and the resin is melted in or after the forming process and a cooling process where the rod is cooled. The amounts to be added are 1-200 pts.wt. adsorbent and 0.5-50 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin having 50-200 deg.C melting point, 10-500μm average particle diameter based on 100 pts.wt. tow.
