    • PURPOSE:To obtain a light irradiation device high in efficiency, by covering a surface to be irradiated of an object to be irradiated by a reflective plate so that light irradiating off the object and light reflected by the object are reflected by the reflective plate. CONSTITUTION:Ultraviolet lamps 7 are provided at a regular interval around the object 5 to be irradiated, while the reflective plates 6 are curved in a parabolic form with the lamps 7 as centers so that the light from the lamps 7 reaches the object 5 most efficiently, and the reflective plates 6 are connected to each other into a cylindrical configuration. A porition of the ultraviolet rays from the lamps 7 irradiates directly to the surface of the object 5 as direct light (a), while ultraviolet rays (b) irradiating off the object 5 are reflected by the opposite reflective plates 6 to reach the object 5. Accordingly, since the quantity of the rays irradiating to the object 5 can be increased, electrical energy can be saved.
