    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assay method for detecting and searching a HCV inhibitor and therapeutic agent or a medicine having HCV growth promotion effect, which targets any process selected from the whole processes of HCV multiplication cycle.
      SOLUTION: The assay method comprises bringing human hepatoma-derived Huh 7 cells into contact with a test specimen and an infectious HCV. The HCV comprises a core protein, two envelope proteins (E1 and E2) and nonstructural proteins (NS2, NS3, NS4 and NS5) necessary for replication. The RNA genome of the HCV is obtained from an infectious HCV replicon genome, prepared by arranging a Poll promoter sequence on the upstream of a sequence encoding the core protein and a Poll terminator sequence on the downstream.
