    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an automobile engine by determining the effectiveness of a smart key by a radio communication between the smart key and a smart key electronic control unit (ECU) when a brake pedal signal and a transmission lever P position signal of an automobile are ON. SOLUTION: It is decided whether or not a transmission lever P position signal and a brake pedal signal of an automobile are ON. The smart key ECU 230 transmits a smart key 220 for a smart key ID request signal when both signals are ON, and receives the smart key ID from the smart key ECU 230. Then the smart key ECU performs the verification of the smart key using the received smart key ID and turns a starting control relay 234 ON when the smart key is verified. Additionally, when an ignition switch 210 is turned START-ON within the prescribed time, the electric power 260 supplied via the ignition switch is applied to a starting motor of the automobile via a starting relay 240 to start the automobile engine.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key structure for a vehicle security and its function execution method which prevents insertion and rotation of an automobile key for except a legitimate user, disables a steering operation and an engine start, and can start the engine only by the legitimate user. SOLUTION: The electronic key structure for the vehicle security and its function execution method determines whether or not at least one signal of a driver seat door lock signal or a brake pedal signal of the automobile is turned ON, requests an inherent ID to a key FOB for the automobile and receives it, when at least one signal is turned ON, and performs an authentication for the key FOB by utilizing the received ID. When the key FOB passes the authentication, a lock member is moved by driving an actuator to be switched to a state where the key for the automobile can be rotated. When the key FOB does not pass the authentication, the lock member is moved by driving the actuator to be switched to a state where the key for the automobile cannot be rotated.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for starting an engine of an automobile using a start-button without a normal car key by a correct user who is capable of start the engine by a simple of the start-button for starting the engine. SOLUTION: In the apparatus and the method, it is determined whether or not plural signals including the start-button are turned on. A key FOB is requested to transmit its ID, the ID is received from the key FOB, and authentication is performed on the key FOB using the received ID when the signals are turned on. Power is provided to a starting motor and a driving signal is applied to a motor driver to drive a motor when the key FOB passes authentication. A shaft is driven according to the operation of the motor to operate a steering column and the starting motor is driven to start the engine.
