A looper thread winding mechanism having a front edge portion of the looper thread S sent from a spool 15 for winding a looper thread around the bobbin 6 located on the looper thread winding position and a looper thread cutting mechanism for cutting the looper thread S wound around by the bobbin 6 wherein a front edge side is wound around the bobbin 6 at the position between the bobbin 6 and the spool 15.

    • PURPOSE:To set a tension of bobbin thread to a sewing speed by disposing an electromagnet of which magnetism and magnetic force can be changed to attract or expel a permanent magnet in a bobbin case to approach or separate from the bobbin case. CONSTITUTION:When sewing is started, a coil 20 in an electromagnet 15 is energized at a current value corresponding to a sewing speed, and a magnetic force in a direction to expel a permanent magnet 10 disposed inside a bobbin case 6 is generated at the electromagnet 15. This magnetic force generates the optimum tension to be given to bobbin thread is generated for the sewing speed at the time. The permanent magnet 10 is moved toward a plate spring 12 by the magnetic force to push the plate spring 12, so an end part of a bobbin 13 pressed by the plate spring 12 is put to get in contact with a large diameter part 5 of a support shaft 4, sand a brake force to generate the predetermined tension at the bobbin thread is provided at the bobbin 13. The tension corresponding to the sewing speed can thus be provided for the bobbin thread, thereby a good sewing without sewing dispersion can be provided.

    • PURPOSE:To automatically set a sewing start position of the upper and the lower cloths by providing an optical means for detecting a sewing start position of two pieces of cloths and a means for detecting a sewing start position of the lower cloth, and thereafter, detaching the sewing start position of the lower cloth in order to detect a sewing start position of the upper cloth. CONSTITUTION:A sewing start position of the lower cloth is detected, and a presser foot of a sewing machine descends and clamps the lower cloth. A lower cloth gripping device provided on a lower cloth supporting plate 14 operates and grips the lower cloth 15, and when it is turned counterclockwise several times by a means (motor) for retreating the lower cloth supporting plate 14, the lower cloth 15 is detached from a detection point 59 by a sewing start position detector 20. Also, on the lower cloth 15, the upper cloth is set by an upper cloth supporting plate, so that the lower cloth 15 is returned to its original position, therefore, the sewing start position of the upper and the lower cloth can be set surely.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration or the worn efficiency by constituting the controller so that in the case plural switches are turned on when a power source is turned on, it is stored as a fault, that of the top priority is read out and set as sewing data, and in the case the switch which is turned on after the power source is turned on is not stored, it is set instead of the most priority switch. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when switches SW2, SW5 are turned on when a power source is turned on, both the switches SW2, SW5 are stored as fault switches. Also, pattern data corresponding to the switch SW2 is stored by priority, and a sewing machine is driven by this pattern data by an actuating signal. Moreover, even if a selection button 10 of the SW5 is pushed after this sewing is completed, since it is the fault switch, a pattern is not written. Subsequently, when the switch SW5 is reset to turn-off in the course of driving the sewing machine, write as the fault switch is eliminated. Accordingly, when the selection button 10 corresponding to the switch SW5 is pushed, the corresponding pattern data is written, and the sewing machine is driven by its pattern data.
