摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as an organic developer or a stabilizer for a heat-sensitive recording sheet, having high sensitivity and excellent in heat, water and oil resistances. CONSTITUTION: This compound of formula I (A is H, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy, hydroxy or nitro; R1 to R3 are each H, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy, hydroxy or nitro or R1 and R2 may be bound to form an aromatic ring; Y is S or O) or formula II (B is H, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy, hydroxy or nitro), e.g. N-(benzenesulfonyl)-p-(phenylurein)benzamide. The compound is obtained by reducing nitro group in an N-arylsulfonyl-nitrobenzamide or an N-acyl- nitrosulfamide into amino group and then condensing the resultant compound with an isocyanate or a thiocyanate. This heat-sensitive recording sheet has high stability without deteriorating the image density even by preservation at high temperatures.

CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula (I) is incorporated as a sensitizer into a thermal color forming layer comprising a normally colorless or light-colored basic colorless dye and an organic color developer as main constituents. The compound of formula (I), beta-naphthyl phenyl acetate, has a melting point of 82-84 deg.C. The kinds and amounts of the organic color developer, the basic colorless dye, the sensitizer and other various constituents used are determined according to required performance and recordability, and are not particularly limited, but it is generally appropriate to use 3-12 parts of the color developer, 3-12 parts of the sensitizer and 1-20 parts of a filler per 1 part of the colorless dye, with a binder being used in an amount of 10-25 parts based on the total amount of solid components. A coating liquid having the composition just mentioned is applied to an arbitrary base such as a paper, a synthetic paper, a film and a plastic, whereby a recording material can be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a new subject derivative which is an isophthaloylbis(phthalazone) and useful in thermally recording sheets, giving high-sensitivity and stabilized images as a stabilizer for the thermally color-developing layer containing a basic colorless dye and an organic color-developing agent as main components. CONSTITUTION:1-phthalazone, triethylamine and N,N-dimethylacetamide are charged in a flask equipped with a thermometer, a stirrer and a dropping funnel and the flask content is kept at -10 to +5 deg.C and isophthaloyl dichloride is added dropwise and the reaction is carried out at this temperature for 6 hours. Then, water is poured into the reaction mixture to precipitate crystals and the crystals are sucked by filtration, the wet crystals are washed with water and ethanol, then dried by sucking to give the objective 2,2'-isophthaloyl bis(phthalazone) of the formula. The product is added as stabilizer to the thermally color-developing layer containing a basic colorless dye and an organic color- developing agent as main components of, coated on the substrate to give a thermally recording sheet having high sensitivity and forming high-stability images.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material free of fading of recorded images, particularly, due to moisture or heat, free of generation of ground color fogging and ensuring that images are stable even when hair treatment toiletries, oils or fats are adhered thereto, by incorporating a hydroxybenzoyloxybenzoic acid ester as a stabilizer in an amount of a specified ratio to the amount of an organic color developer. CONSTITUTION:It is known that, in general, where two or more organic color developers are used together, coloring of a coating liquid in the step of preparing the coating liquid or development of a ground color with time after coating are liable to occur. However, a hydroxybenzoyloxybenzoic acid ester of general formula ( I ), wherein R is 1-12C alkyl or cycloalkyl, used a stabilizer has none of such defects, though it has a color developing capability, and it can be used extremely effectively as a stabilizer for compensating for insufficient aspects of organic color developers. The stabilizer is added in an amount of 0.1-50wt% based on the amount of the organic color developers. If the amount of the stabilizer is less than 0.1wt%, little effect of the addition can be expected, and on the other hand, if the amount is more than 50wt%, the balance thereof with the amount of the organic color developer is lost, and a color tone peculiar to each of the color developers can not be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve thermally responding properties and the can-stability of a coloring picture image by having a heat sensitive coloring layer containing a basic colorless dye and a specific organic developer. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper has a heat sensitive coloring layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic colorless dye and an organic developer and contains as said organic developer bis-(3-phenyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone or bis-(2-methyl-4-hydroxy-5-cyclohexylphenyl)sulfone. Said compound is synthesized by oxidation of bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfide compound by the use of oxidizing agent and hydrogen peroxide, hydroperoxide, osmium oxide, etc., are used as such agent. Also, triphenylmethane dye, fluorane dye, azaphthalide dye, fluorene dye, etc., are preferable as said basic colorless dye. In this case, 3-12 parts organic developer, 3-12 parts sensitizer, and 1-20 parts filler are used for 1 part basic colorless dye, and the suitable amount of binder is 10-25% in the whole solid content. Thus, it is possible to obtain a heat sensitive recording body, when the application liquid of said composition is applied to an arbitrary base.

This coating soln. is applied to a support such as paper, synthetic paper or a plastic film and dried to laminate a thermal recording layer on the support to obtain a thermal recording sheet. As a concrete example of the compd. represented by the general formula, there are saccharin, phthalimide, tetrahydrophthalimide, hexahydrophthalimide, succinimide and maleimide.
