    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric which is excellent in ion permeability, air permeability, liquid permeability or the like and is applied to various uses, to provide a manufacturing method of the nonwoven fabric, and to provide a separator for an electric double-layered capacitor which is low in internal resistance and superior in ion permeability.
      SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric is such one fixed by a thermoplastic resin in which heat-resistant fiber composed of resin of which melting point or the carbonization temperature is 300°C or more is solidified to a fiber intersection in a non-fiber state, wherein a melting point of the thermoplastic resin is 200°C or more, and is equivalent to that of the heat-resistant fiber or is lower than that of the carbonization temperature. In a DSC curve drawn after differential scanning calorimetry of the nonwoven fabric, a crystallization peak is not drawn. The separator for the electric double-layered capacitor consists of the nonwoven fabric.
