    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and safely perform a work for adjusting the gap between the cutting edge of a fixed blade body and the cutting edge of each blade plate of a rotating blade body. SOLUTION: A fixed blade body 2 with a cutting edge intersecting at right angles to the advancing direction of a strand and a rotating blade body 3 fixed on the apex of a rotating shaft 13 intersecting at right angles to the cutting edge of the fixed blade body 2 and on the front face 3a of which a plurality of blade plates 15 are radially arranged are provided and the rotating shaft 13 is freely rotatably supported by a supporting member 14 facing to one side of the fixed blade body 2 at an interval. The supporting member 14 is guided by means of a pair of guide plates 39 so as to be freely straightly moved in the same direction as the axial direction of the rotating shaft 13 and can be fixed with a lock bolt 41 after the rotating blade body 3 is straightly moved in the same direction with the supporting member 14 and the gap between the cutting edge 2a of the fixed blade body 2 and the cutting edge 15a of the blade plate 15 is adjusted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strand cutting device with low noise in which noise generated by a rotary blade body rotated at a high velocity is reduced. SOLUTION: The strand cutting device with low noise is equipped with a fixed blade body 2 having knife edges orthogonal to the progressing direction of a strand S, with a rotary blade body 3 which is stuck to the tip of a rotary shaft 13 parallel to the progressing direction of the strand S and also is raclially arranged with a plurality of blade plates 15 in the front face opposite to the fixed blade body 2 and with a cover 6 for catching cut pellets P and discharging the same to the outside of a machine. The nearly whole face of the cover 6 is covered with a noise insulating material 7. The cover 6 consists of a nearly funnel-shaped lower part case 4 and the hemicylindrical upper part case 5 covering the opening part of the lower part case 4. The center O1 of the upper part case 5 is made eccentric from the rotary axial center O2 of the rotary blade body 3 to the fixed blade body side. Thereby, the strand cutting device with low noise is constituted so that the interval between the inner peripheral face of the upper part case 5 and the imaginary outer peripheral circle of the rotary blade body 3 is gradually increased in the same direction as the direction of rotation and made maximum on the side of the fixed blade body 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate possibility of accumulation of pellets and to prevent cleaning work or maintenance work form becoming complicated. SOLUTION: A fixed blade body having an edge crossing the advance direction of a strand S at a right angle, the rotary blade body 3 fixed to the leading end of the rotary shaft parallel to the advance direction of the strand S and having a plurality of blade plates radially arranged to the front surface opposed to the fixed blade body thereof and a cover 6 catching cut pellets P to discharge them to the outside are provided. The cover 6 consists of an almost funnel- shaped lower case 4 and the semi-cylindrical upper case 5 covering the open part of the lower case and the center O1 of the upper case is made eccentric from the rotary axis O2 of the rotary blade body 3 to the fixed blade body. By this constitution, the interval between the inner peripheral surface of the upper case 5 and the virtual outer peripheral circle 40 of the rotary blade body 3 increases in the same direction as a rotary direction gradually to become max. in the vicinity of the fixed blade body.
