    • PURPOSE:To prevent lubrication fluid from leaking during bearing assembly operation and use and air from remaining in a bearing by forming a hole for air relief and lubrication fluid pouring in a thrust bearing member. CONSTITUTION:Fluid 8 is made to intervene between a housing 1, one end of which is closed by a thrust bearing member 7 and a shaft 4 to be contained in the housing 1. Either the housing 1 or the shaft 4 is rotatably supported as a rotary side member by the other member as a stationary side member. A hole 6 is formed as air relief hole and lubrication fluid pouring hole in this thrust bearing member 7. By this constitution, when the thrust bearing member 7 is press-fitted and assembled, air and extra lubrication fluid 8 are pushed out from the thrust bearing member 7, and the lubrication fluid 8 does not leak from other portion. Since even after fixing the thrust bearing 7, the lubrication fluid 8 can be supplemented, air does not remain in a bearing device.

    • PURPOSE:To heighten lubricating fluid leakage preventing performance by fixing a lubricating fluid shpt-off member to a fitting face formed at a rotating member. CONSTITUTION:A housing 2 and bearing members 4, 4 are fixed members, and a rotary shaft 5 and a hub 6 are rotating members. A fitting face 11 is formed at the lower end of the hub 6, in the direction 10 orthogonal to the axis 9 of the hub 6, and this fitting face 11 is formed as an annular plane around the rotary shaft 5. A shut-off member 7 for shutting off a fluid is fixed to the fitting face 11 by bonding, for instance. This shut-off member 7 is annularly formed of resin or other optional material, and oil repellent treatment is applied to the surface so as to repel the base oil of lubricating oil or a magnetic fluid. A micro clearance 13 is formed between the rotary shaft 5 and the inner peripheral surface of the shut-off member 7, but since the hub 6 with the shut-off member 7 fixed thereto is press-fitted to the rotary shaft 5, the magnetic fluid does not leak from this clearance 13.
