    • PURPOSE:To obtain a noise reduction device to ensure a high-quality picture by detecting the difference between the signal of the specified frame of the TV signal and the 1-frame preceding signal and then giving control after counting the number of signals whose absolute value are more than the set level. CONSTITUTION:Difference signal M is obtained through detection circuit 3 between signal A of the present frame and signal B preceding by one frame, and the absolute value ¦M¦ is obtained through absolute value circuit 12. Value ¦M¦ is then supplied to mixture ratio generation circuit 13 to produce constant K as well as supplied to comparator 14 to be compared with set value D. In circuit 14, the absolute value larger than value D is supplied to counter circuit 15 where the units of ¦M¦ larger than D and counted. And the count output is supplied to mixer ratio control circuit 16 along with the output circuit 13. Circuit 16 reduces forcedly the value of K of mixture in case the output of circuit 13 is large on the screen featuring a big motion in order to lower the degree of improvement for S/N but with reduction given to the lowering of resolution. And in case the output of circuit 15 is small on the screen featuring a large still part, the improvement degree of S/N caused by K is increased in order to reduce the noise for a high picture quality.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a synthesized picture with high quality with comparatively simple circuit constitution and processing, by always changing the boundary position of connected video images so as not be in a line thereby applying synthesis connection and making the boundary line unremarkable visually. CONSTITUTION:Video input signals (a), (b) are inputted respectively to synchronizing conversion circuits 1, 2, outputs c, d are switched by a signal F from a setting circuit 4 by a switch circuit 3 to obtain a synthesis video output (e). A control circuit 5 generates a synchronizing signal and a clock signal and distributes them to conversion circuits l, 2 and the setting circuit 4. The setting circuit 4 uses a boundary position data (g) to designate the bondary position in the horizontal scanning period, a generation circuit 7 outputs a randon number data (h) in response to the designation condition to add (8) data (g), (h), the output data (i) is made coincident (9) with a horizontal address signal (j) representing the position within one horizontal scanning period to send a signal (f). Thus, the boundary position of synthesis connection is changed at all times.

    • PURPOSE:To attain proper coding without error due to inversion by regulating a conversion code outputted from a conversion code output means in response to the code of a difference detected by the 1st detection means and the result discriminated by an overflow discrimination means. CONSTITUTION:The coder consists of an input section 12, adders 14, 24, 30, 32, 34, 40, quantization tables 16, 18, a PF latch 20, an OF latch 22, inverters 26, 28, a decoding table 38, a latch 42, a complement number generating section 44 and an output section 36. Then a conversion code outputted from a conversion code output means is regulated depending on the sign of a difference detected by the 1st detection means detecting whether or not the inputted data and the data inputted before the first data is 0 or over and on the result of discrimination by an overflow discrimination means discriminating whether or not the decoded value of the inputted data exceeds a prescribed data quantity. Thus, the proper conversion code and the output value without any error due to inversion are obtained.
