    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery sewing machine capable of easily performing a turning operation in the embroidery sewing machine provided with a turnable Y direction moving mechanism. SOLUTION: For embroidery, a Y direction moving arm 1 is pulled out for roughly 90 degrees, an embroidery frame (not shown in the figure) is fixed to an embroidery frame attaching piece 19, and the embroidery is executed. For the Y direction moving arm 1, by the mechanism of a connection part 2, when a push-up lever 24 is pushed, a turning shaft 21 is pushed up, a fixing projection 22 and grooves 43 and 44 are disengaged, a projection base part 26 is pushed by a turning spring 5 simultaneously at the time, and a turning board 2 is turned for a prescribed amount. Thus, the turning operation of the arm 1 is easy.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the feed performance of a sewing machine with feed teeth by constructing a device so that a slide plate is passed through under the normal path for needle and bobbin threads when moving forward, and the captures the needle and bobbin threads to guide them to the action locus of a movable blade and cut them when moving backward. SOLUTION: In an automatic thread cutting device of sewing machine, a fixed blade 10 is fixed to a thread cutting base plate 9 mounted on a base body 1, and a movable blade 2 and a slide plate 4 are incorporated to form a movable blade unit 40 via a spacer with the same width as the fixed blade 10. The movable blade unit 40 is supported by the thread cutting base plate 9 with the movable blade 2 and fixed blade 10 placed within the movable blade unit so that the movable blade unit can oscillate freely. With a thread cutting drive mechanism of a thread cutting mechanism 32. the slide plate 4 is passed through under the normal path for needle and bobbin threads 36 and 38 when the movable blade unit 40 moves forward, and the slide plate 4 captures the needle and bobbin threads 36 and 38 to guide them to the action locus of the movable blade 2 and cut the needle and bobbin threads 36 and 38 when moving backward.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance the operability of replacing cloth by providing a knee litter mechanism which is operated by a knee lifter lever operated by the knee. CONSTITUTION: To replace cloth, a knee lifter lever 52 is attached to the knee lifter shaft of a knee lifter mechanism 35. The knee lifter lever 52 is pressed by the knee to operate the knee lifter mechanism 35. Then a knee litter shaft arm 54 is rotated counterclockwise, and an adjusting screw (r) rotates an adjusting arm 53 counterclockwise. The counterclockwise rotation of the adjusting arm 53 causes a connecting arm 59, an intermediate link 45, a connecting arm 58, and an intermediate link 43 to rotate and causes a connecting arm 57 to move to the right. This rightward movement of the connecting arm 57 causes a presser foot lift mechanism 20 to operate. By the operation of the presser foot lift mechanism 20, a presser foot 13 is raised to a position exceeding the height of an embroidery frame. When the operation of the knee lifter lever 52 is stopped, each part is moved in the opposite direction and an embroidery presser foot 13 is lowered.
