    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture substrate for proliferating undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cells. SOLUTION: There is provided the culture substrate for proliferating the undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cells, comprising a honeycomb-like porous material which comprises a water-insoluble polymer having a glass transition temperature of -50 to 200°C and a Young's modulus of 0.5 to 9 giga pascal and has pores having an average pore size of 1 μm. The culture substrate is excellent in that it enables to culture the mesenchymal stem cells which is especially useful in regenerative medicine, in an undifferentiated state. The culture substrate has a characteristic that bio-risks can be avoided at a point not needing the addition of a growth factor or the like to a culture medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
