    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a fixed mandrel by rewinding a coiled material formed by winding a magnesium alloy sheet around the fixed mandrel and to manufacture a sound product coil by levelling and trimming crack portions and shape defect portions in plate width end portions generated by multi path roll forming.
      SOLUTION: The recoiling equipment includes an unwinding machine 1 for making it possible to rewind the coiled material C of the magnesium alloy wound around the fixed mandrel, a heating furnace 4 arranged in the downstream side of the unwinding machine 1 and for heating the magnesium alloy sheet S rewound from the coiled material C to a predetermined temperature, a leveller 6 arranged in the downstream side of the heating furnace 4 and for correcting the shape defect of the magnesium alloy sheet S, a trimmer 2 for cutting out both the end fringes of the sheet, and a winding machine 3 arranged in the downstream side of the trimmer 2 and for rewinding the magnesium alloy sheet S.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolling method of magnesium and a device therefor, by which deterioration in product quality due to temperature variation during hot rolling of magnesium alloy can be prevented. SOLUTION: The hot rolling method of magnesium includes: a first rolling step of subjecting magnesium plates M0, M1 to reciprocating rolling between an upstream side heating furnace 2 for heating the magnesium plates M0, M1 arranged on the upstream side of a rolling mill 1 and a downstream side heating furnace 3 for heating the magnesium plates M0, M1 arranged on the downstream side of the rolling mill 1; and a second rolling step of subjecting the magnesium plates M0, M1 to the reciprocating rolling while retaining the heat of the end parts of the upstream and downstream sides between an upstream side heat retaining device 5, arranged further upstream side than the upstream side heating furnace 2, for carrying and retaining the heat of the magnesium plates M0, M1 heated with the upstream side heating furnace 2 and a downstream side heat retaining device 6, arranged further downstream side than the heating furnace 3, for carrying and retaining the heat of the magnesium plates M0, M1 heated with the downstream side heating furnace 3.
