    • PURPOSE:To seal the atmospheres in and out of a furnace in which an inert gaseous atmosphere is maintained without wearing a driving shaft in the stage of blowing a molten metal in the furnace and pulverizing the same with a rotary disk by providing noncontacting type sealing members and specifically constructed contacting type sealing member to the driving shaft of the rotary disk. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal M is blown and is pulverized by the disk 8 rotating at a high speed in the furnace in which the inert gaseous atmosphere of Ar, etc. is maintained. The contacting type sealing member 9 and the noncontacting type sealing members 21, 22 such as labyrinth seals for sealing the inside and outside of the furnace are provided to the driving shaft 5 for the rotary disk 8 penetrating through the furnace. The sealing of the inside and outside of the furnace during the rotation of the driving shaft 5 of the rotary disk is executed by the above-mentioned members 21, 22 and the member 9 is detached from an annular collar part 9 provided to the driving shaft against a spring 18 by the energizing to an electromagnetic coil 15 provided thereto. The coil 15 is de-energized and the member 9 is pressed to the annular collar part by the spring 18 to seal the inside and outside of the furnace during the stop of the driving shaft.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hot-water, flowing down through an always wet space formed in the filling material of a heat exchanging unit and other hot-water, flowing down through a neighbored wet type/dry type switching space, from moving to enter into each other. SOLUTION: In a water cooling tower, a filling member 20, having always wet type spaces 21 and wet type/dry type switching spaces 22 by arraying filling plates 20a, 20b, extended in up-and-down direction, in the horizontal direction, is formed while a multitude of stages of the filling members 20 are arranged in a heat exchanging unit 6 below a hot-water tank to introduce outdoor air into the always wet spaces 21 as well as the switching spaces 22 and supply hot-water 12 into the always wet type space 21 while supplying the hot-water 12 into the switching spaces 22 only when an outdoor air temperature is higher than a predetermined value and a humidity in the same space is lower than a predetermined humidity. In such a water cooling tower, a connecting plate structure 35, precluding the movement of the hot-water 12 between the always wet type spaces 21 and the switching spaces 22, is provided between the upper stage filing plates 20a and the lower stage filling plates 20a, which are forming the switching spaces 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a water cooling tower to highly evenly spray water upon a wet/dry switching area by making the height of its water intake pipe adjustable and, in addition, to appropriately adjust the ratio between a normally wet area and the wet/dry switching area. SOLUTION: A water cooling tower cools warms water 7 by directly bringing the outside air into contact with the water 7. In this case, a packing material 12 is dividedly and alternately arranged in normally wet areas 17 and wet/dry switching areas 18 respectively isolated from external atmosphere 16, and all sprinkling ports 6 of a warm water tank 5 are communicated with the areas 17. At the position corresponding to the bottom face area 18 of the tank 5, a vertically expandable water intake pipe 25 composed of a fixed pipe 21 which is extended upward from its lower end section fixed through the bottom face of the tank 18 so that the pipe 21 may only be communicated with the area 18, a vertically moving pipe 23 which is vertically slidably put in the pipe 21 and has an opened water intake 22 at its upper end, and a vertical movement locking means 24 provided between the pipes 21 and 23, is arranged.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the exchange of plural samples by forming many grooves for discharging and housing the samples on the outer periphery of a sample magazine, and providing an insertion and discharge mechanism at the center of rotation with the discharge position and the insertion port of a tester on the same circumference. CONSTITUTION:Plural samples 11 are housed in the sample magazine 12 by utilizing the groove 22 with the outer peripheral end opened, the samples 11 are held by a holding mechanism, and the sample magazine 12 is rotated to a sample discharge position by one pitch at a time. The sample 11 is held by the insertion and discharge mechanism 16 rotating between the sample discharge position and the insertion port 18 of the tester 15, rotated to the side of the magazine 12, and discharged. The insertion and discharge mechanism 16 is moved, and the sample 11 is inserted into the tester 15. Since only the insertion and discharge mechanism 16 for discharging the sample 11 is rotated, the necessary space is minimized, and the samples are smoothly exchanged.
