    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane reciprocating parking system (1) to be installed efficiently in a rectangular site of a nearly square form for storing cars parked side by side, (2) enabling effective use of the rectangular site without the necessity of a special vertical transfer space extended from the rectangular site and (3) capable of reducing the time required for waiting a lift at a same floor and enhancing smoothness even if cars enter and leave the same floor continuously.
      SOLUTION: The plane reciprocating parking system comprises a lift 12 moving vertically in a shaft, a traveling truck 14 capable of horizontally traveling with a car loaded thereon on a traveling track and a storage shelf 16 arranged adjacently to the truck. The shaft crosses the traveling track at an intermediate position of the track, and the truck 14 can be loaded onto the lift 12 at the crossing position. Further, auxiliary lifts 20 are provided on both end parts of the traveling track, the truck 14 is vertically moved between a plurality of storage heights.

According to the present parking apparatus, a display section of the optical display is visible form the driver in a driver's seat of the vehicle under loading operation into the vehicle loading place.

A plurality of empty pallets are stacked in the stacking buffer shelf so as to be stored on the stacking buffer shelf or the vertically and horizontally feeding shelf adjacent to the buffer shelf, so that the vertically and horizontally feeding shelves carrying no pallet is optionally increased for placing a vehicle mounting pallet on it.

A pallet cross feed device 17 is installed on the charging/discharging space 9, and auxiliary lifts 13 including a pallet vertical feed device 16 which elevate between the first floor and the second floor are provided on both sides of the charging/discharging space 9 in the center part B. In addition, pallet vertical feed devices 16 are disposed on the second floor on the forward side part A and the depth side part C on both sides of the elevation passage.
