    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for performing vibration error suppression in an optical fiber gyrosensor.
      SOLUTION: An example system includes a light source, a sensing loop assembly, a photodetector, and a processing component. The light source generates a light signal that is then modulated by the sensing loop assembly and applied to an optical fiber coil in the assembly. The photo detector receives a modulated light signal that is the output of the sensing loop assembly (coil) and generates an analog signal. The processing component converts the generated analog signal into a modulated digital signal, determines an average of the modulated digital signal, determines an intensity modulation amplitude from the determined average of the modulated digital signal, and re-scales the modulated digital phase signal from the determined intensity modulation amplitude.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calibrating an optical fiber gyroscope.
      SOLUTION: This method is for calibrating an optical fiber gyroscope. A first part and a second part of light from a first light source pass through an optical fiber line, and propagate in a first direction and in a second direction respectively. A first voltage which produces a predetermined phase shift between the first part and the second part of the light from the first light source is computed. A first part and a second part of light from a second light source pass through an optical fiber line, and propagate in the first direction and in the second direction respectively. A second voltage which produces a predetermined phase shift between the first part and the second part of the light from the second light source is computed. Then the difference between the first voltage and the second voltage is computed.
