    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a gyroscope error under limited power supply quality in an optical fiber gyroscope.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a power supply for the optical fiber gyroscope includes: at least one main power supply; at least one demodulator local power supply operatively connecting the main power supply to a demodulator included in the optical fiber gyroscope; and at least one modulator local power supply operatively connecting the main power supply to a bias modulator included in the optical fiber gyroscope. The demodulator local power supply includes a first current source for supplying the demodulator with current, and a first shunt regulator to be connected to both ends of a load associated with the demodulator. The modulator local power supply includes a second current source for supplying the bias modulator with current, and a second shunt regulator to be connected to both ends of a load associated with the bias modulator.

      SOLUTION: An example method generates a noise signal, alters the spectrum of the noise signal based on operation of an associated data converter, and supplies the altered spectrum noise signal to the associated data converter. The data converter is a digital-to-analog converter or an analog-to-digital converter. The altered spectrum noise signal is notched at frequencies of interest. The spectrum is altered by sending a signal generated by a random number generator to a delay device and adding the output of the delay device from the output of the random number generator. Also, the spectrum is altered by seeding first and second identical random number generators, delaying the operation of the first random number generator, and adding the output of the delayed first random number generator from the second random number generator.
