    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient wall thickness in the rotation center part of an impeller main body side, and to very firmly attach a metal boss onto an impeller main body, in an impeller with the metal boss attached to the rotation center part of the impeller main body in an inserted condition. SOLUTION: This impeller comprises an impeller main body A made of a synthetic resin with the blade part 2 formed in a periphery of the rotation center part 1, and the metal boss B wherein a circumferential boss part 3 positioned in a surface side of the rotation center part 1 and provided with a contraction-shaped part 3a in a shaft end part portion is connected to a shaft periphery supporting boss part 4 positioned in a reverse face side of the rotation center part 1, continuously along an axial direction, and wherein an axis- directional support face 5 is formed between the circumferential boss part 3 and the supporting boss part 4. The metal boss B is insertion-attached to the rotation center part 1.

      SOLUTION: A pump housing A having a void chamber 3 formed between a pump chamber 1 and a bearing chamber 2 therein , the water drain passage 4 communicating to outside formed in the void chamber 3, and an outer surface side water drain opening 4a of the water drain passage 4 positioned in an outside lower surface side, and a pulley B formed in a rough cup shape and having an annular flange part 14 bending toward a rotational center from a cup shaped opening side end edge are provided. The pulley B is attached to the pump housing A in such a manner of covering the outer surface side water drain opening 4a. A flange inner circumference end edge 14a of the annular flange part 14 is put close to a circumference outer surface part 6a of the outer surface side water drain opening 4a.

      SOLUTION: The water pump comprises an impeller main-body A made of a synthetic resin in which blades are formed around a rotary center part 1 having a through hole 1a, and a boss member B made of a metal having a flange part 4 on the periphery of a cylindrical part 3. A clearance c is provided between the through hole 1a of the impeller main-body A and the cylindrical part.
