    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set even a little step height for properly keeping a bearing pressure balance between an annular bead and an outer peripheral bead.
      SOLUTION: This metal gasket for a multilayered cylinder head has a cylinder hole 2a, the annular bead 2b formed on its periphery, a cooling water hole 2c formed in its outside peripheral part and two base boards 2 having these annular bead and outer peripheral bead formed in a position for surrounding the cooling water hole. A claw-shaped projection possessed by an outside step height adjusting plate extending up to a position of the outer peripheral edge of the base boards from a position of a cooling water jacket, is inserted into a hooking hole possessed by an inside step height adjusting plate thicker than its outside step height adjusting plate and extending up to the position of the cooling water jacket from an inside position of the annular bead of the base boards between these two base boards, and a material of connecting these outside step height adjusting plate and inside step height adjusting plate is interposed by folding back a projecting part from its hooking hole, and the lower side base board is provided with a claw-shaped projection releasing recessed part turning to its claw-shaped projection by aligning in the thickness direction of a gasket to the claw-shaped projection.
