A stopper cover 67 covering the handle stopper is attached to a front stay 66.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any unintended contact with an operation lever while being easily accessible to the operation lever of an elevating/lowering device in an inverted pendulum type vehicle having the cylinder type elevating/lowering device capable of adjusting the seat height.SOLUTION: An inverted pendulum type vehicle 1 includes a vehicle body frame 10 for supporting a main wheel 52, a seat 200 on which an occupant is seated, a telescopic strut 180 which is mounted on a vehicle body frame to support the seat in an elevating/lowering manner, and operated according to the operation of the operation lever, and an outer shell 18 which accommodates the vehicle body frame, and forms an outer shell of a vehicle body. The seat is provided wider than the outer shell in the right-to-left direction, and the operation lever overlaps the lower side of the seat in plan view, and is located on the outer side of the outer shell.
