    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of durability of an active type vibration control supporting device and minimize increases in noise and vibration, when abnormalities are generated in the device and an engine. SOLUTION: The control of the active type vibration control supporting device is continued as it is if the operation state of the engine is normal during the control of the device. If the abnormality is generated in the operation state of the engine, the control of the device is stopped. As a result, the useless operation of the device is prevented in a state that the large vibration of the engine generated by the abnormality can not be suppressed, and useless power consumption and the lowering of durability of the device can be avoided. When the abnormality is generated in the operation state of the device, cylinder cut-off is released if the cylinder is cut off in the engine. If the cylinder is not cut off in the engine, switching to the cylinder cut-off is inhibited. As a result, a cylinder cut-off state that the vibration of the engine is increased is inhibited in a state that the device is not capable of exerting a sufficient vibration control function, and increases in noise and vibration can be prevented.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a throttle valve driving device which can surely prevent unintended rapid acceleration by performing appropriate fail safe operation when failure possibility is detected.SOLUTION: When failure of a throttle valve driving device is detected (provisional detection), a provisional detection flag FFDET is set to 1, and when that situation continues for detection waiting time TFDET, a failure detection decision is made, and a provisional failure flag FFTMP is set to 1. During a period from the time when the provisional failure flag FFTMP is set to 1 until a defined waiting time period TFFIX elapses, while supply of a throttle valve driving power source is maintained, output of a control signal SCTL is stopped. When the defined waiting time TFFIX elapses, in the case where the provisional failure flag FFTMP is set to 1, the supply of the throttle valve driving power source is stopped.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the durability degradation of an active vibration control support device, and to minimize the increase of noise and vibration when abnormality occurs in the active vibration control support device or in an engine. SOLUTION: Control of the active vibration control support device is continued as it is if the operating state of the engine is normal during the control of the active vibration control support device, and the control of the active vibration support device is stopped if abnormality occurs to the operating state of the engine. The useless operation of the active vibration control support device in a state of being incapable of suppressing large vibration of the engine in which abnormality has occurred, is thereby prevented, and useless power consumption and the durability degradation of the active vibration control support device is avoided. When abnormality occurs to the operating state of the active vibration control support device, a cylinder pause is released if the engine is in the cylinder pause, and switching to the cylinder pause is prohibited if the engine is not in the cylinder pause. The occurrence of the cylinder pausing state in which engine vibration is increased in a state of an active vibration control device of not exhibiting a sufficient vibration control function, is thereby prohibited to prevent the increase of noise and vibration.
