    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft device for equipment with a prime mover capable of easily updating authentication ID information on the equipment side when the ID information is required to be updated when an electronic key is lost or when the equipment is bought and sold. The ID information includes information indicating the number of times of updates of the electronic key (30). The authentication ECU (34) compares the number of times of updates indicated in the ID information of the electronic key (30) with the number of times of updates indicated in the authentication ID information. The authentication ECU (34) determines that the number of times of updates indicated in the ID information of the electronic key (30) is greater than the number of times of updates indicated in the authentication ID information, the authentication ECU (34) updates the authentication ID information so that the authentication ID information may correspond with the ID information of the electronic key (30).
