    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to effectively prevent water from intruding into a ventilation hole for preventing immersion of a plug hole even if an engine is repeatedly bathed with water. SOLUTION: In the engine plug hole waterproofing device, an ignition coil 7 housed in a plug hole 12 opened on the upper surface of an engine together with an ignition plug 8 is capped with a coil case 10 that covers it. A case upper portion 10b protruding above the engine of the coil case is provided with: a vertical air path 21 that extends upward from the lower end portion that communicates with the plug hole 12; and a ventilation hole 27 opened to the atmosphere by communicating with the upper end of the vertical air path. The ventilation hole 27 is provided on the upper part of the case upper portion 10b. A cover wall 22 that hangs to enclose the ventilation hole 27 is extended from the case upper portion 10b. An atmospheric chamber 20 is formed inside the cover wall 22, which comes to be an open surface 20a where the ventilation hole 27 is opened at its upper portion and the entire lower surface is opened toward the engine.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device which suppresses a voltage drop when a high voltage generated in an ignition coil is transmitted, and can supply a proper voltage to an ignition plug.SOLUTION: An ignition device includes a plug insertion hole 17 formed in a cylinder head 3 so as to be opened in a combustion chamber 5 of an engine E, an ignition plug 20 inserted into the plug insertion hole 17 and keeping at a tip an electrode 20a exposed to the combustion chamber 5, an ignition coil 21 mounted outside the plug insertion hole 17 on an anti-combustion chamber side of the cylinder head 3 to produce high voltage supplied to the ignition plug 20, a high voltage conductive member 22 inserted into the plug insertion hole 17 to connect the ignition coil 21 and the ignition plug 20, and a plug cap 23 formed of an insulator for accommodating the high voltage conductive member 22 thereinside while enclosing a part on the anti-combustion chamber side part of the ignition plug 20. An entire inner peripheral surface of a part enclosing the high voltage conductive member 22 in the plug insertion hole 17 is covered with an insulation member 26.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine, which can simplify a producing step, fix a cover to a case portion, and effectively prevent the intrusion of water into a plug hole.SOLUTION: On a side wall portion 31 on a case portion 3 of an ignition coil 1, a column portion 32 made by projecting a part of the side wall portion 31 outward, and a notch portion made by cutting off a part of the side wall portion 31 from an upper end are provided. On the column portion 32, a breathing port 321 which communicates with a breathing passage 21 formed between a seal rubber 5 and the case portion 3, and opens at an upper end portion is vertically formed. On the side wall portion 31 of the case portion 3, a cover 4 for surrounding the column portion 32 and covering the upper end portion of the breathing port 321 is provided, and the cover 4 is provided with a sealing portion 42 for sealing the notch portion. The ignition coil 1 makes filling resin 6 for filling a space S in the case portion 3 continuously contact with the sealing portion 42 and the side wall portion 31, thereby fixing the cover 4 to the side wall portion 31.
