摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle capable of effectively utilizing space above a swing arm.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle includes an electric motor 41 for producing travel driving force, a swing arm 34 swingably provided at the rear part of a vehicle body frame 11 to pivotally support a rear wheel 35 at the rear end, a drive shaft 52 for transmitting the driving force of the electric motor 41 to the rear wheel 35 and a suspension 67 connecting the vehicle body frame 11 and the swing arm 34. The electric motor 41 is coupled to a drive shaft 52 by being set in a longitudinal layout keeping a rotary shaft 42 in a front-rear direction of the vehicle and by being offset from a center to either of right and left sides in a vehicle width direction. The suspension 67 is arranged downward and inward in the vehicle width direction by overlapping the position in the front-rear direction with respect to the electric motor 41 and drive shaft 52.

A storing segment 62 is formed substantially into a box-like shape to store some items in it and is supported through a sliding mechanism 80 inside a case segment 61 covering the storing segment 62. The saddle bag 60 is constituted so as to be slidable between a bag-closed state in which the storing segment 62 is stored in the case segment 61 and closed and a bag opened state in which the storing segment 62 is exposed out of the case segment 61.
