    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by suppressing the rise of engine revolution at restarting of fuel supply after fuel cut. SOLUTION: The objective intake air amount control device for the internal combustion engine is provided with an intake air amount control valve for controlling the air amount to be supplied to the downstream side of a throttle valve in the engine, a control means for controlling the above control valve according to the loaded condition of the engine, and a fuel supply stopping means for stopping the supply of fuel into the engine. When the supply of fuel into the engine is stopped by the above stopping means, the control means controls the intake air amount control valve in such a way as to supply, to the engine, the air of an amount less than that supplied to the engine by the control complied with the loaded condition of the engine.
