SOLUTION: One or several breaker projections 3 grouped in a specific area are formed on a rake face 4 of a sintered body 1 for a grooving tool. Land parts 9, 10, 11 free from any irregularities are provided between the breaker projections 3 and a front flank 6 and between the breaker projections 3 and right and left side flanks 7, 8. A grinding margin is provided on each land part, the flanks are polished or ground to change the width and the shape of each land part, and the grooving tools different in the blade shape, the blade width, the distance from the cutting blade to the breaker projections 3, or the like is formed of the sintered body of the same kind as a stock material.
