    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component for a rotary machine which has excellent drain erosion resistance and fouling resistance in an environment in direct contact with gas. SOLUTION: The component is obtained by laminating a hard film 2 having excellent erosion resistance and composed of at least one or more selected from TiN, TiAlN, CrN, TiC, TiCN and ZrN and a fouling preventive film 3 having excellent wear resistance and composed of fluorine-containing diamond-like carbon. The fouling preventive film 3 is a gradient composition film whose concentration gradient is provided in a film thickness direction in such a manner that a fluorine concentrate is made high as it goes from the side of the hard film 2 to the surface of the fouling preventive film 3, and in which the concentration of fluorine in the surface lies in the range of 10 to 40 mass%.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plating method and a plating apparatus capable of enhancing the corrosion resistance by reducing pinhole defects.
      SOLUTION: In the plating apparatus 10A, a workpiece 11A to be plated is immersed in an electroless plating liquid 12 to form an electroless Ni-P plating layer on a surface of the workpiece 11A. The plating apparatus comprises a plating tank 13 for storing the electroless plating liquid 12, an oscillating motor 14 for oscillating the workpiece 11A before the amount of hydrogen gas G generated when the plating is started and the electroless Ni-P plating layer is formed on the workpiece 11A becomes the predetermined value, an oscillation transmitting member 15 for connecting the workpiece 11A to the oscillating motor 14, and a coil spring 16 for adjusting the amplitude of the oscillation generated by the oscillating motor 14. The workpiece 11A is oscillated before the amount of the generated hydrogen gas G becomes the predetermined value to promote desorption of hydrogen gas adsorbed by the workpiece 11A. Thus, generation of pinhole defects in the electroless plating layer is prevented, and the corrosion resistance is enhanced.
