    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch joint capable of withstanding a fire or outdoor environment, and its construction method.
      SOLUTION: The branch joint comprises a saddle body 2 on one side and a saddle body 3 on the other side fastened to the outer peripheral surface of a main pipe. The saddle body 2 on one side can be in communication with the main pipe. The inner peripheral surface 26, straddling the main pipe, of the saddle body 2 on one side is provided with a branch part connected to a branch pipe leading to the inner peripheral surface 26, and a seal member 5 brought into close contact with the main pipe is fittingly mounted to the inner peripheral surface 26. A thermally expansible flame-resisting rubber material containing 55% aluminum hydroxide at least which is heat resistant putty containing expanded graphite, is applied onto the inner peripheral surface 26.

      SOLUTION: The mechanical joint 1 comprises a joint body 10 inserted with an end part of a pipe P to be connected, the nut 20 screwed to the joint body 10 and formed with an inner peripheral tapered surface 23 with its diameter extending toward the joint body 10 side on its inner peripheral surface, a slip-off stopping member 40 biting into an outer peripheral surface of the pipe P by fastening action of the nut 20, and a packing 30 pressed to an end-part inner surface of the joint body 10 and the outer peripheral surface of the pipe P. The nut 20 internally comprises a rotation collar 50 having tapered surfaces along the inner peripheral tapered surface 23 on the inner/outer surfaces and arranged to be rotatable to the nut 20.

      SOLUTION: The closing cock device 1 comprises a cylindrical turning member 3 for opening/closing the flow of gas, and a case 2 for slidably holding it. The turning member 3 consists of the cylindrical valve element 30 having communication ports 31a, 31b, a lining layer 32 of an elastic material fixed onto the outer peripheral face thereof, and lubricant applied on the surface thereof. In the surface of the lining layer 32, a V-groove 321 is formed for holding the lubricant. The V-groove 321 is formed longer than each of the communication ports 31a, 31b and arranged symmetrically around the axis of rotation of the valve element 30.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stoppers for pipe joint capable of sufficient extraction preventive force without peeling a resin-covered layer even in an outer surface resin covered steel pipe, and a pipe joint. The stoppers for pipe joint comprise an inner stopper member 61 having a large number of biting teeth with appropriate intervals in the circumferential and axial directions on the inner circumferential surface, and provided with notches in a part of the circumference direction and a holder member 62 covering the inner stopper member, abutted on the inclined inner surface of the joint, and having a notch in a part of the circumference.
