    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparative diagnostic reading supporting apparatus which can reduce the number of diagnostic reading and improve the efficiency of the reading without generating artifacts in comparative diagnostic reading.
SOLUTION: The comparative diagnostic reading supporting apparatus 1 transmits the patient ID of a test subject for the reading to a PACS 2. The PACS 2 searches a current image group and a past image group of the test subject based on the patient ID. A CAD 3 implements CAD processing on the current image group and the past image group and detects abnormal sites. The comparative diagnostic reading supporting apparatus 1 separately sorts out a current or past image having the abnormal sites detected and another image which corresponds to the detected image, and displays the sorted both images comparably.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find an abnormal shadow which cannot be found on a regular radiographic image on the radiographic image. SOLUTION: This image display device defines the abnormal shadow found by CAD (computer aided detection) or image reading as a specified region based on a tomographic image and acquires its coordinates. The coordinates of the obtained specified region are displayed with a mark added on the regular radiographic image so as to convert them into coordinates or a region on the radiographic image, and specify the coordinates and region after the conversion. The specified region is thus markedly displayed on the radiographic image so as to allow an easy confirmation of the site on the radiographic image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
