SOLUTION: When data for a transmission request from a diskless PC 1 is a request for reading a prescribed logical block, for example, logical block address 0, a cache device 2 transmits a request for reading logical block address 0 to a storage router 7 and transmits a request for reading preliminarily set OS image-portion data to the storage router 7. The cache device 2 stores a received OS image in an incorporated storage medium in response to receiving a read response of OS image-portion data from the storage router 7 and thereafter transfers pertinent data to the diskless PC 1 from the OS image stored in the device itself without requesting read to a storage device 6, in response to a read request for logical block address 1 and following addresses from the diskless PC 1.       SOLUTION: At the receiving of the reading request of a predetermined logical address(LBA) from a diskless PC 1002, a data transfer control part 1008 of a cache device 1004 inquires for the storage location of access pattern information to an IP name server device 1017, and acquires access pattern information. The sequence of a reading request is generated according to the access pattern information, and a reading request to an IP storage device 1016 is issued, before the previous issued reading request is ended; and the reading data from the IP storage device are stored in a cache memory part 1005 as necessary. A data transfer control part 1008 transfers data necessary for starting, from the cache memory part 1005 of the cache device 1004 to the diskless PC 1002.
