    • PURPOSE:To extract a coil and to supply rapidly a spool, by inserting a new spool into an upper space caused by the descent of a coil extracting device which is actuated immediately after extracting a coil from a coiling axis. CONSTITUTION:A titled device is constituted by providing, as accessories, a spool supplying device 19, a coil taking-out device 12, and a controlling device in addition to a coiling drum 17 placed at the outlet side of a rolling mill 16. The device 19 has a horizontally moving part which moves the device 19 in the axial direction of the drum 17 and in the direction perpendicular to said direction. Further, the device 12 has a driving part which actuates the descending motion of the device 12 when it moves to the position of coil extraction along the axial direction of the drum 17. Then the initial movement of the device 19 to the axial center and the descending movement of the device 12 are combined without idle time. Thus the extraction of a coil and the supplying of a spool 15 are rapidly performed by the titled device.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the wear of rolls caused by the edge parts of a strip and to change the influence of heat crown into an easily controllable form by moving an uncoiler in its axial direction in uncoiling the strip. CONSTITUTION:The rolls 5 of a rolling mill are fixed in their axial directions, and an uncoiler 1 and a coiler 6 can be moved in their axial directions respectively by hydraulic cylinders 2, 7. The moved quantity of a strip 4 at the outlet side of the mill is measured by a detector 8, and the strip 4 can be coiled up by the coiler 6 while trueing up its side end faces by controlling the moving quantity of the uncoiler 6 in accordance with the measured quantity.

    • PURPOSE:To protect the winder and coil from being damaged by making the cradle contact slightly with the coil in a mechanism wherein the cylinder to lift the winding coil cradle is actuated by hydraulic pressure being controlled and reduced thru relief valve. CONSTITUTION:Winding operation at the coil 13 is carried out along the sequence as below: (a) by the operation of valve 18, wedge piece 9 is moved to the left via cylinder 11, which enlarges the diameter of the drum 8 being consisted of a plurality of a plurality of segments, (b) at the same time, by the operation of the valve 37, pressure at the reducing valve 30 is made equal with the value set at the relief valve 3l via the bypass pipe 33, then, (c) the winding of the coil 13 is started. Before the winding is finished, by the operation of the valve 28, hydraulic pressure being reduced at the reduction valve 30 is supplied to the down chamber C of the cylinder 21 which lifts the cradle 20 upward and after making it contact with the coil 13 slightly, supply of hydraulic pressure is suspended by operating the valve 28. After the winding is completed, diameter of the drum 8 is shrunk thru the cylinder 11 by operating the valve 18, valve 37 is switched, setting the pressure at the chamber C of the cylinder 21 at the value as set at the relief valve 32, and the coil is drawn out while the coil is being supported by the cradle.
