    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a reliability by preventing degradation of performance, deterioration of service life and the occurrence of misoperations caused by heat generation, in a laser light source and a laser drive circuit. SOLUTION: The laser drive circuit 73 is connected to a flexible board 76 and arranged in a groove or a hole 71a, provided near the laser light source fixing part of an optical pickup case 17. The laser drive circuit 73 is connected to an upper cover 77 which is nearer to the side from the laser drive circuit 73 of the upper and lower covers 771, is772 by a heat conducting part 78. Thereby, heating of the laser drive circuit 73 is conducted to the upper cover 771 via the heat conduction member 78, and radiated to the outside of an optical pickup device 7, diffusing to an in-plane direction of the upper cover 771. Also, the laser drive circuit 73 is arranged at a position which is almost at an equal distance from two laser light sources, and at the inner peripheral side with respect to the laser light source.
