    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro mirror driving method and a display using it reproducing a stable display image by reducing rocking vibration of MEMS mirrors when improving resolution of a display image by carrying out high speed driving of the MEMS mirrors. SOLUTION: The mirror driving method and the display using it has a mirror driving means for micro mirrors operated in a resonance mode and a non-resonance mode, a driving condition setting means for determining mirror driving conditions, a switch means for switching a driving signal of the non-resonance mode on and off, and a look-up table indicating a relationship of mirror responses with respect to known driving conditions. By controlling transmission of the mirror driving signal by the switch means while grasping a mirror response state with respect to a mirror driving signal of the non-resonance mode, and by finely fluctuating driving torque to the micro mirrors, the micro mirrors are stably rocked, and further improvement of rocking speed is made possible. In the maximum oscillation angle condition, leak light of light beams deviating from the mirror is received by the photosensors, and a light receiving period and intensity of the light are converted into electric signals. When the light source position is adjusted so that output periods and output intensity of the respective photosensors are equalized, luminous flux is made to be incident on the mirror center.
