    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device which decreases deformation of a magnetic disk.
      SOLUTION: This magnetic disk device 1 has the magnetic disk 2 which is rotationally driven and on which information is recorded, a hub 10 for contacting to one surface of the magnetic disk 2 to support it at an outer circumference, and a clamp 9 for contacting to another surface of the magnetic disk 2 to fix the magnetic disk 2. Additionally, an O ring 17 is intervened between a flange section 16 of the outer circumference of a hub 10 and the magnetic disk 2. Moreover, a spacer 18 is intervened between the magnetic disk 2 and the O ring 17. This allows the top surface of the hub 10 and the lower surface of the clamp 9 to be contacted, and the top surface of the hub 10 to be the height reference of the magnetic disk 2.

      SOLUTION: The magnetic disk drive is provided with a magnetic disk 100, a spindle motor 109 which rotationally drives the magnetic disk, a magnetic head 110 which performs the information recording or reproduction to/from the magnetic disk, a carriage 209 having a magnetic head at its tip, a VCM(voice coil motor) 101 which drives a carriage, electronic parts 200, 201 for processing signals from the magnetic head, a easing 102 which houses these components, plated electrical wiring 108 which connects the magnetic head and electronic parts and/or connects electronic parts with each other and which is provided on the bottom of the easing, a plated interface connecting part 300 which is connected to the plated electrical wiring provided to the inner bottom surface and side wall surface of the casing and which is provided on the easing rear side surface. The easing 102 is formed of a resin member or a metallic member as a single body.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve miniaturization and thinning by obtaining rotational accuracy and rotating performance equal to/higher than those of a ball bearing using the oil-containing bearing of a normal structure, and reducing costs. SOLUTION: Stoppers 110 and 111 are disposed in the opposing surfaces of a magnetic disk 100 having a spindle motor rotating part provided with a magnetic disk 100, a shaft 112 and a hub 114 in a side opposite an incorporating direction. The stoppers 110 and 111 are fixed to the upper surface of a casing 101 or a cover 108, and the spindle motor rotating part regulates a movement in a direction opposite the spindle fixing side incorporating direction caused by external shocks. Thus, the spindle motor rotating part and the spindle motor fixing part can use a spindle motor using the oil-containing bearing not fixed in a rotational axis direction. Therefore, the number of part items is reduced compared with the ball bearing spindle motor, and parts costs and the number of assembling steps are reduced.
